donut party!

 

finn's official birthday fell on a wednesday and i wanted him to have a fun day, so we invited all our little friends over!

 

madison was kind enough to give him a birthday kiss.  lucky boy.  she is one "really nice girl". cute too!

these two have made some strides in the last month...it used to be a little love/hate.  but i think we are finally migrating to nothing but love...as if they had a choice in the matter ;)

the cash register of my youth!  although its new and improved.

 

we have already spent hours playing with this toy.  the fun is endless.  and finn now has opened a toy store, a book store and a grocery store.  he is a very busy and shrewd entrepuener.

 

for dinner he requested cheeseburgers!

and daddy and i were most happy to oblige. 

 

we would give him the moon if we could.  here is to 3, mr. finn!

lately...

sara mary got engaged!  and her engagement party marked our first night out...it was such fun to hang with these couples - sans toddlers!

 

the menfolk.  we are lucky ladies.  and even luckier that they enjoy each other. 

 

i love love love these girls.

i thought that henry would sleep through the festivities, but he was ready to party.  luckily there were a lot of kind arms to hold him.

i discovered my love for moscow mules this night.  mmmmmmm.

we had a bbq at my grandma's the following day to celebrate the soon to be college bound kids!

apparently we celebrate college with a little hula hooping.  it was pretty disappointing.  apparently, most of us lose our hula hooping skills when we reach adulthood. but everyone gave it their best shot and it was verrrrrry entertaining to watch.  especially the guys' attempts.
