And from those marriages, these two were born. They met, fell in love and married. 34 years ago.
Now and then. Then and now.
These two know how to woo one another still and no momentous occasion passes by without a celebration to mark the date. Luckily, Mr. Kelly and I were asked join them for a night to dine in style and commemorate 34 years of wedded bliss... we gratefully accepted the invitation.
Morton's was the spot. 7:30 was the time.
The aura of Morton's is special and when I walk in the door I instantly feel as though I have traveled to a different time and I relish in it - soft lighting, dark wood, worn leather, velvet drapes and bar stools, 40's music in the background...
It feels like old Hollywood or Gotham City and I felt compelled to dress the part. Red lips included, which require so much "touching up"...
Oysters, wedge salads, salmon and steaks, slow dining, impeccable service, a little vino and smashing company helped make this night one for the books...
Here's to the next 34 years, you two lovebirds.
